Marc Davis is the original creator of Tinkerbell, and is widely regarded as the father of cartoon cinema. He is known for his creations Cinderella, Bambi and of course our beloved Tinker Bell, who was based on actress Margaret Kerry. Margaret was the model for Tinker Bell and had to pose in various positions with and without props to bring to live Tinkerbell with a variety of expressions, feelings, moods, and so on. Animators Marc Davis, Wilfred Jackson and Gerry Geronimi would then sketch each scene before the actual cinema production would begin.
